The major benefit of a home video phone is the obvious one, it provides video so you can see who you are talking to on the phone. It’s one thing to write this statement, think about it, or even know it. It’s a completely different thing to actually try it for yourself and use a video phone first hand. They are absolutely incredible!

When cordless phones hit the market they were considered the ultimate in telecommunication advancement. Being able to roam around your entire house, maybe even a few steps outside, while talking on the phone was amazing. Next came cell phones. Home video phones provide the personal touch traditional telephones lack, which is the ability to see the person you are talking to (provided they also have a video phone). This allows for facial expressions to be read and body language to be used that serve to enhance your conversation. Visual aides can also be shared that will take your experience to new heights, such as displaying photographs, artwork made by the kids, clothes you just bought, or showing off your new haircut.

At the simple touch of a button time and distance no longer matter, you can be in the same place and time, sharing in the exact same moment, with anyone, anywhere in the world. This concept is mind blowing! Imagine being able to connect in person with anyone you so desire regardless of location. Home video phones make this possible with complete ease.

Video phones operate over a high speed Internet connection (not telephone lines), making them digital, thus higher quality, and are offered at very low monthly service fees. Owning and using a home video phone will cost you about the same (or less!) as regular home phone service does. So the question now becomes, why not use a video phone?
